Massaging your scalp is one of the essential steps in hair washing. To start the massaging, do the following:
- Squeeze a small amount of shampoo on your palm and gently rub your palms together before applying it to your hair.
- Gently massage your scalp with your finger tips. Do not mound your hair onto your head as this will cause your hair to tangle.

- When your hair is soaked, do not pull or tug your hair because the hair is at its most vulnerable state.
- Gently squeeze your hair to get the excess water out.
- Apply some conditioner from the middle and then spread it through the ends of your hair.

- Rinse your hair until the water runs clear.
